Hebron - IT Academy Projects
2018
Hebron is located in Lviv, Ukraine and was founded in 2015 in support of post orphanage-age boys and expanded in 2017 to support girls. The public orphanage system supports only children through age 18. Upon reaching that age, they are provided a small stipend and left to support themselves.
Hebron IT Academy educates these students in computer languages in addition to providing living quarters. I’ve visited their dormitory annually for the past three years and can attest to the quality of instruction as well as the training in Christian values. Lviv has over 600 IT companies offering computer development worldwide. The students learn needed skills at these firms.
A mini-van is needed. While some training is conducted at the dormitory location, much occurs at the downtown Lviv training center. Hebron’s targeted amount is $16,000 for 1 mini-van. It will help at least 20 orphans with transportation from their facilities to offices (classes), to church on Sundays, and to other activities (sports, recreation, etc.). The mini-van will save our students a lot of time and money: it takes approximately 1 hour to get to office from the boys’ facility, and sometimes there are days when they have to wait for 1 hour for buses to get there.
